Are you sick of college basketball yet? I hope not, because Oregon State (+8, +292) is going up against Houston (-8, -353) at 7:15 PM EDT today in the first of 2 Monday evening Elite 8 matchups. The over / under is set at 129.0.
Oregon State, despite being a 12 seed with a 20-12 record, is not as large of an underdog as you’d expect. Houston, a 2 seed, looks like a strong opponent with their 27-3 record.
However, given Oregon State’s tournament performance so far, the spread makes more sense. On Saturday, they took down Sister Jean and Loyola Chicago. Before that win, they beat #4 Oklahoma State and #5 Tennessee. Neither of those games were close, with Oregon State winning by double digits in both.
Houston has had a relatively dominant run in the tournament as well, however they did get tested by #10 Rutgers and only managed to win that game by just 3 points.
