The Arizona Cardinals (+4.5, +184) are playing the Los Angeles Rams (-4.5, -211) this Sunday at 4:05 PM EDT. The over / under is set at 54.5.
The Cardinals beat the Jaguars last Sunday in a 31-19 blowout. Likewise, the Rams beat Tom Brady and the Buccaneers that very same day in a rather easy win. Oh, and in case you haven’t heard, Tom has a pretty big game this weekend, too.
The last time these two teams played was on January 3, 2021 when the Rams beat the Cardinals 18-7. In that game, the Rams were -1 and covered the spread. Likewise, the total for that game was set at 42 and stayed under by 17 points.
Matthew Stafford has unquestionably been a difference maker for the Rams this season. After throwing for 343 yards against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers last weekend, Stafford essentially cemented the Rams as the early season favorite to win the Super Bowl. Wide receiver Cooper Kupp has also been a key cog in the Rams offense, scoring 5 touchdowns so far this season.
The Cardinals look to young quarterback Kyler Murray to snap their eight-game losing streak against the Rams. Murray was 28 for 34 in pass attempts last weekend, but the Rams defense will serve as a more worthy adversary. As one of the top offenses in the NFL, the Cardinals are averaging just over 34 points per contest. The success has not translated as far as Las Vegas oddsmakers are concerned, as the Cardinals are just 4-8 against the spread in their last 12 games.
